On 10/20/26, there was a distrubance at the Utah County Planning Commission that resulted in three persons being removed from the meeting. Two persons were cited and one female was booked into the Utah County Jail.

A group of hikers on the summit of Mt. Timpanogos were sheltering in the "Tin Shack" during a storm. The shack was struck by lightning, resulting in several being injured. A 19 year old male was fatal injured during the incident.

A suspect unlawfully entered an occupied home in the South Fork area of Provo Canyon. During a confrontation with an armed resident of the home, the suspect was shot and injured. After attempting to leave the area in a stolen truck, the suspect was arrested by arriving UCSO Deputies. The suspect was treated a local hospital and is being booked into the Utah County Jail.
