Fugitive Investigations / Extraditions Team
It is the mission of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Investigations / Extraditions Team to successfully pursue, locate and arrest wanted fugitives who are attempting to elude justice. We are committed to accomplishing our mission in a manner which reflects the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
The Fugitive Investigations / Extraditions Team is responsible for locating and arresting persons for whom arrest warrants have been issued throughout Utah County. The Team is comprised of highly motivated and experienced deputies who strive to clear warrants by bringing offenders in compliance with the court. This may be accomplished in a number of ways to include: physical arrest, the collection of bail and/or signing a promise to appear (In this case, the warrant will remain active until the fugitive appears before the court. This option is strictly at the discretion of each deputy).
Additionally, this Team coordinates with jurisdictions in other states to arrange for the arrest and extradition of fugitives wanted on felony warrants within Utah County. The deputies assigned to the Fugitive Investigations / Extraditions Team exemplify the meaning of “the long arm of the law” by traveling throughout North America in the pursuit, arrest and extradition of wanted felony fugitives.
