Methods of Service
1 - Actual or Personal Service:
Personal service is the in-hand delivering the papers to the person directly.
2 - Substituted Service:
This type of service is delivery to a defendant's residence or business to a person old enough to understand the acceptance of service. It can mean posting the notice at the door or certified mailing of the notice.
3 - Service by Publication:
Publication in the newspaper.
