Fingerprint Services


The Utah County Sheriff’s Office offers fingerprinting services at both the Utah County Jail and the Utah County Health and Justice Building.

The Utah County Jail provides fingerprinting in relation to a criminal summons only , between 7:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M., seven days a week without an appointment .

Fingerprinting must be done at the Utah County Jail for Class A misdemeanors and Felonies or if you don’t have a social security number.

We offer fingerprinting, at the Health and Justice Building, in relation to a criminal summons and for employment / background checks. Fingerprinting at the HJB is done by appointment only on Wednesdays between 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and Fridays between 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Please email HJBfingerprints@utahcounty.gov to schedule an appointment.

The cost for all fingerprint services is $15 and must be paid in advance. We do not charge for fingerprinting if you are applying for employment with Utah County Government.

We require a current/valid government issued photo ID be presented at the time of fingerprinting. The following primary forms of identification will be accepted:

  • State Issued Driver License; including U.S. Territories (Regular or Commercial DL)
  • Utah State ID Card Issued by the Driver License Division
  • U.S. Passport or a U.S. Passport Card
  • Active Duty or Retired U.S. Military ID
  • Concealed Weapon Permit Issued by the State of Utah
  • Tribal ID Card (Federally Recognized, With or Without a Photo)
  • Other Federal Documents: Permanent Resident Card, Employment Authorization Document (EAD), or Certificate of Naturalization
  • Foreign Photo Identification Will be Subject to Inspection and Verification for its Validity

Whether you are being fingerprinted at the Jail or at the HJB, please bring a copy of your payment receipt and a hard copy of the criminal summons (if applicable) to your fingerprinting.
