Fingerprint Services
Fingerprinting, in relation to court orders (criminal summons) and employment / background checks, is available at:

Fingerprinting in the Health and Justice Building (HJB) is done by appointment only on Wednesdays between the hours of 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and Fridays between 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Please email HJBfingerprints@utahcounty.gov to schedule an appointment. Fingerprinting must be done at the Utah County Jail for Class A misdemeanors and Felonies or if you don’t have a social security number.
The cost for fingerprint services is $15 if you are not applying for a position with Utah County Government and this fee must be paid before being fingerprinted. See payment link below .
We require a current/valid government issued photo ID be presented at the time of fingerprinting. The following primary forms of identification will be accepted:
- State Issued Driver License; including U.S. Territories (Regular or Commercial DL)
- Utah State ID Card Issued by the Driver License Division
- U.S. Passport or a U.S. Passport Card
- Active Duty or Retired U.S. Military ID
- Concealed Weapon Permit Issued by the State of Utah
- Tribal ID Card (Federally Recognized, With or Without a Photo)
- Other Federal Documents: Permanent Resident Card, Employment Authorization Document (EAD), or Certificate of Naturalization
- Foreign Photo Identification Will be Subject to Inspection and Verification for its Validity
If you are being fingerprinted because of a court order(criminal summons), please bring a hard copy of the order with you to your appointment or email it to: HJBfingerprints@utahcounty.gov in advance.
Be aware that during times of health restrictions and/or other public emergencies, fingerprint services may not be available at the HJB.
** The Utah County Jail also provides court ordered fingerprint services in relation to criminal summons, between 7:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M., seven days a week without an appointment. However the Jail does not offer fingerprinting in relation to employment / background checks.
