Recreation Team
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office has two five man teams specifically assigned to serve in the many recreation areas Utah County has in it’s 2,143 square miles. Our beautiful mountains and valleys are filled with trails, lakes and streams for all kinds of year round recreation. With visitors pouring in from all over the world, our population often fluctuates to well over the half million we already have.
Our Recreation Team focuses on the off-road areas with their four-wheel drive vehicles, ATV’s, snowmobiles, and Watercraft.
Enforcement of drug and alcohol laws are our primary focus in these areas to help make them safer places to visit and recreate with our families. We need the public’s help; for it must be a team effort to keep our recreation areas safe and clean. We ask that you familiarize yourself with local, state, and federal laws and ordinances. Obeying the laws, being crime prevention smart, and being safe is a great recipe for a good time. We look forward to seeing you out enjoying our great outdoors.
