Utah Valley Special Victims Task Force
The Utah Valley Special Victim’s Task Force is a multi-disciplinary Task Force that consists of personnel belonging to the various law enforcement agencies throughout Utah County as well as individuals employed with the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) , Children’s Justice Center (CJC) , Child Protective Services (CPS) , Utah County Attorney’s Office , Victim Advocates, Utah Sex Offender Registry, Adult Probation and Parole , and various Federal Agencies.
This partnership of professionals work together in a coordinated and collaborative manner to ensure an effective response to reports of sexual violence, ensuring an investigation that is timely and objective and causes the least possible trauma to victims.
The Multi-Disciplinary Team approach reduces the impact of trauma on victims and families, while increasing access to child and family advocates, medical and mental health evaluation and treatment, and the criminal justice system.
